PageGroup achieves diversity & inclusion milestone

-

PageGroup, the specialist recruitment company, has reached a significant milestone for its diversity and inclusion work by attaining a Proud to be Clear Assured status by the Clear Company, an auditor of inclusive practice.

PageGroup formed a partnership with the Clear Company to improve and sustain the diversity of its workforce, particularly through its initiative supporting disabled people, Ability@Page.

Caroline Shelley, Associate Director Legal & Quality Compliance at PageGroup, says:

“By working with the Clear Company, we’ve been able to effect lasting change across our recruitment practice and are now best placed to recruit disabled talent.”

Sarah Kirk, Regional Director for Diversity & Inclusion, says PageGroup’s workforce, as well as the candidates it places, are given equal employment and development opportunities, based on ability, qualifications and suitability.

“As a result of our global diversity and inclusion initiative, OpenPage, we are opening up a greater spectrum of talent which attracts the best people, regardless of disability, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age or status as a parent or carer.

“This achievement from the Clear Company is very welcome and indicates that we are making excellent progress in our diversity and inclusion work,” says Mrs Kirk.

Earlier this year, PageGroup also launched Pride@Page supporting LGBT employees and Parents@Page focusing on fathers and same sex parents. Both initiatives were inspired by the global success of Women@Page which was launched in 2012 and aimed to improve gender balance at all business levels in PageGroup.

Kate Headley, Director of Consulting at the Clear Company says:

“Clear Assured is a significant achievement for an organisation and PageGroup have really shown passion for this agenda, buying into the benefits of a diverse and inclusive proposition and challenging themselves to be better.

“I am so pleased that PageGroup have joined the ever growing ranks of professional recruiters who have the vision to embrace the benefits a diverse work population delivers,” concludes Mrs Headley.
