HR and corporate responsibility jobs ‘on the rise’

-

HR and corporate responsibility jobs are increasing, firm claimsHuman resources (HR) vacancies are recovering from the effects of the recession, with more companies hoping to boost their staff levels in this area.

This is according to new figures compiled by specialist recruitment firm Robert Walters, which found HR and corporate responsibility roles were more available in the second quarter of 2010, Personnel Today reports.

Director of the organisation’s HR division Martyn Wright said the “pace and volume” at which positions are coming on to the market is likely to increase throughout this year.

The company noted HR generalists, learning and development employees and compensation and benefits specialists were among the most sought-after workers.

Mr Wright stated: “The increased demand for [these jobs] indicates that businesses are now focusing on retaining key talent more than they were a few months ago.”

Chief executive officer of Work Wise UK Phil Flaxton recently claimed employment levels in Britain have done “extremely well” over the last decade.
