DHL employee wins MAN everywoman Team of the Year award

-

The UK’s leaders in supply chain and logistics have jointly awarded Debbie Palmer, a General Manager at DHL Supply Chain, the MAN everywoman Team of the Year award. The accolade is traditionally awarded to a female manager leading a team which excels in its contribution to the company’s success.

The MAN everywoman awards were launched in 2008 and celebrate the achievements of the most inspirational women in transport and logistics, an industry traditionally dominated by men.

Winners of the awards were assessed by a panel of prestigious judges from the world of transport and logistics, with categories including those responsible for managing warehouses, those starting out in the industry, commercial drivers, directors and women leading successful teams.

Debbie Palmer joined DHL in 1999 and was most recently appointed General Manager at the Unilever regional distribution centre in West Thurrock. She impressed the judging panel with the impact she made to the performance and working culture of her colleagues, with Employee Opinion Survey Satisfaction results at the distribution centre increasing by nearly 60% .

Debbie Palmer, at DHL Supply Chain said: “I’m thrilled to have been recognised at the MAN everywoman awards, particularly as there were some extremely strong candidates in my category. This award isn’t just recognition of my work – I couldn’t have achieved it without my fantastic team at West Thurrock.”
