Creating the most comprehensive retail recruitment specialist in the UK.

Leading executive search specialist Barracuda Search has added two new arms to its growing business, to find emerging talent across the retail and consumer facing sectors as well as an interim practice.

Following overwhelming demand from Barracuda clients, it has set up the two new divisions allowing clients and candidates the most comprehensive specialist offer in the sector.

Barracuda Interim is the UK’s only specialist retail interim provider servicing the consumer-facing sector. It will place interim executives into retail and consumer facing organisations. It has set up a network of senior interim executives with the specialist skills and knowledge to enable them to understand the challenges and to make an immediate impact.

It is being led by Paul Botting who has over 11 years’ experience in interim recruitment and was formerly the chairman of the Interim Management Association.

G2exec has been set up to identify individuals who will shape the next generation of retail and consumer businesses. G2exec will build an extensive network of emerging talent and use it to help place mid-level management and put in place the perfect succession for future boards and top level management.

Barracuda has brought in Matt Parry to lead G2exec. Matt was formerly the head of executive recruitment for Dixons Retail responsible for appointing directors and senior management in a time of extensive change at the FTSE 250 electrical retail giant. He has previously worked leading retail focused teams for major global search firms and spent time working across the Middle East and Asia regions.

Both new areas of the business will run alongside Barracuda Search and report into the current directors of Barracuda Jamie Zuppinger and Justin Linger.  The new businesses will also benefit from the extensive experience of the Barracuda team and their international connections and unparalleled experience across the retail and consumer sectors.

Barracuda chairman Peter Jones says: “We are delighted that Matt and Paul have joined our team. With their knowledge and passion for this industry as well as proven results in executive recruitment they are the ideal addition to our business to make Barracuda the perfect 360 degree recruitment offering for the industry.”

He added: “Both G2exec and Barracuda Interim have answered the growing demand from retailers to identify the important future leaders of their businesses and the need for interim executives in times of change or growth.”
