Freelance body keen to work with new governmentThe Professional Contractors Group (PCG) has announced it is looking forward to working with the new coalition government.

According to the organisation, after an "unprecedented period of political uncertainty" it is now keen to communicate the employee benefits of a flexible workforce.

John Brazier, managing director of the institution, said he is optimistic that both parties are aware of the benefits of having a flexible, mobile workforce.

"We are obviously in uncharted waters," he explained. "However, PCG has established a good working relationship with both the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats."

According to Mr Brazier, he is confident this will be carried through into the new government and beyond.

Specifically, it is important that the authorities address problems in the tax system for UK small businesses, he explained.

The expert recently suggested that a hung parliament could end up being a good result for Britain, as it may provide a refreshing switch in the political system.
