Venn Group celebrates success of apprenticeship scheme

-

Venn Group, the nationwide temporary recruitment specialists has celebrated the success of its apprenticeship scheme at a recent reception with Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, founder of the London Apprenticeship Campaign.

The London Apprenticeship Campaign, launched last year has already successfully created over 20,000 placements in the capital. Since 2010, Venn Group has been firmly behind the push for more company led apprenticeships and has offered six placements in total, giving participants the option of Business Administration, Finance, or Recruitment.

Commenting on their involvement, Director Robert Bowyer says: “We are totally committed to the development of talent at a time when conditions have been less favourable for those leaving education and seeking full time work. As such, offering apprenticeships with Venn Group was a no-brainer. We’re seeing some really talented individuals progressing through the scheme – able to gain the much needed experience they need to pursue their chosen career”.

Leona Benjamin is currently taking part in the Finance apprenticeship at Venn and commented on her personal experience “I chose this apprenticeship because I felt it would be hugely beneficial to me to get on the job training, as well as attending college to study towards a recognised financial qualification. I have found the apprenticeship challenging, yet very rewarding and would recommend it to other people looking to gain on-the-job experience whilst studying.
