Recruitment firm raises £1,200 for local charities

-

Independent national recruitment company celebrated its 10th anniversary by throwing a street party.
The company, whose HQ is based in Sheffield, raised an impressive charity total of £1,200 earlier this month on the evening of the street party from bucket collections and a raffle, with guests eager to buy tickets to win Sheffield Wednesday tickets and signed photos of the team. All the money raised will be divided equally between Weston Park Hospital Charity and The Children’s Hospital Charity.

The £17 million company applied to the council for a special licence to close St Peter’s Close where it is based and invited 300 guests comprising staff, clients, suppliers and neighbours. Guests danced the night away to live music from Sheffield band, The Sharp Cuts, took their chances on the bucking bronco, feasted on a hog roast and enjoyed a drink or two from the complimentary bar.

Comments managing director of Linear, Adam Turner:“We’re a real Sheffield success story and that’s something to celebrate, but we also wanted to use that success to give something back to our home town which is why we’re celebrating our ten years by raising £10K for charity. Eighteen members of our team will be taking part in the Great Yorkshire Run in October to raise money for charity and we’re donating £1 for every time sheet we process over the next three months which we expect to raise at least £8,000.”

As one of Linear’s clients, Sean Quinn, projects director of M J Gleeson Group commented, “Linear know our business like one of our own team so they always get us the right person with the right skills for the job. A company that will go the extra mile for its customers day in and day out is a rarity, but Linear really do have that nothing’s-too-much-trouble approach to business, which I think is why they’re growing so rapidly even in today’s marketplace. I’m delighted to congratulate them and be here to help them celebrate and they certainly know how to throw a great party!”
