Last week at a ceremony attended by Telford’s Deputy Mayor, Councillor Murray, Kelly Services, the global workforce solutions provider, officially opened a new operations centre in Stafford Park, Telford, Shropshire.

The new site will enable Kelly Services to meet growing customer demand from its impressive portfolio of managed service programmes. Benefitting from larger premises the office will enable Kelly Services and Kelly’s Outsourcing and Consulting Group, Kelly OCG, to combine their expertise in one location.

Between them they will offer a range of services from order management and systems maintenance, to candidate sourcing and in-depth reference checks for their UK and EMEA managed service clients – including some of the world’s leading oil and gas, pharmaceutical and technology companies.

Speaking at the event, Councillor Murray said:
“I am delighted that Kelly Services have chosen to expand their premises in Telford and am privileged to be present at the opening of the new operations centre. This is excellent news for the borough and I wish them continued success in the future.”

Tony Barroco, Director, EMEA & APAC Operations, Contingent Workforce Outsourcing Practice comments:
“Our centralised operations centre in Telford is a critical component in our service delivery to KellyOCG’s Managed Service Provider clients who combined have over $650M in managed spend, across 14 countries in EMEA. These clients rely on this centre to provide them with tactical and strategic support such as supplier management, reporting and analytics, and back-office administration.

“In addition, this centre will enable KellyOCG to provide a cost-effective and scalable delivery model to meet our clients’ ever-changing needs. This larger office will provide us with an improved infrastructure that will enable us to better support existing and future clients.”

Kelly Services has a long standing heritage in the local area, having opened their first UK Service Centre 15 years ago in Telford in 1997.

Commenting on the opening of the centre, Gary Jones, Managing Director and Country General Manager, Kelly Services UK and Ireland said:
“We are pleased to continue to support the local area through the opening of this key strategic hub for Kelly Services.

“This new office will support some of our largest resourcing managed service programmes, and provides us with the opportunity to grow this offering, which we see as being integral to the expansion of our workforce solutions in the future.

“On a more personal level, I’m particularly proud to be opening this centre in Telford, having grown up in nearby Wellington – which is part of the urban Telford we know today.”
