Cezanne expands HR and payroll offering with Occupop acquisition

-

Cezanne, a UK-based providers of HR and Payroll software, has announced the acquisition of Occupop, a Dublin-based recruitment technology company known for its applicant tracking system. The move will integrate Occupop’s hiring platform into Cezanne’s HR and payroll software suite.

Cezanne provides software that automates HR and payroll processes, including recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, compliance, absence management, performance reviews, and talent management. The addition of Occupop’s technology will offer customers an end-to-end hiring solution within the platform.

The acquisition marks Cezanne’s first major expansion since receiving investment from NorthEdge in March 2023. Occupop’s co-founders, Caroline Gleeson and David Banaghan, will join the Cezanne management team to support business growth.

Enhancing Recruitment Capabilities

Simon Noble, CEO of Cezanne, spoke of the importance of integrating recruitment technology into the platform.

“By bringing Occupop’s technology into our wider product suite, we’re addressing a crucial part of the employee lifecycle – hiring – with a solution that makes recruitment incredibly easy and accessible to everyone,” Noble said.

The acquisition follows a period of strong growth for Cezanne. In 2024, the company expanded its offerings with the launch of its in-house payroll platform and continued product development. It also made key leadership investments, including the promotion of Simon Noble to CEO.

Caroline Gleeson, co-founder of Occupop, described the acquisition as a positive step for both companies.

“Joining forces with Cezanne creates tremendous opportunities for our customers and our team. Our shared vision of making HR processes intuitive and accessible made this a natural fit. By integrating with Cezanne’s comprehensive platform, we can offer our customers a seamless experience across the entire employee lifecycle,” she said.
