-

The British Safety Council has launched its new website  aimed at strengthening the global health and safety charity’s online interaction with its members and wider health, safety and environmental management community.

Alex Botha, chief executive of the British Safety Council, stressed the contribution that the new website will make in helping to develop a strong community comprising members and other stakeholders committed to the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management. He said: “The launch of our new website represents a significant step in helping us to communicate and interact far more effectively with our members. We will use the new website to strengthen our charity’s profile among our various audiences, including our members, government and the regulator, and to showcase the public benefit we deliver in making real our vision that no one should be killed, injured or made ill by their work.”

The British Safety Council’s new site features an online store for the purchase of membership subscriptions, and a wide range of health, safety and environmental training, qualifications and consultancy services. The website also brings alive the charitable contribution that the British Safety Council’s services make with a wealth of information on the scope and the support they provide to schools and individuals.

The new site also lays the foundations for the rapid development of an online community which will help shape the British Safety Council’s vision, priorities, services and influencing work as it moves forward. Users of the website will be able to follow the British Safety Council and contribute their ideas through the various social media tools including blog posts, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube channels.
