Sypol expands online compliance services

Sovereign Capital, the UK private equity Buy & Build specialist, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Enable Infomatrix Limited (“Infomatrix”), a provider of web-based, compliance information management solutions to some of the UK’s most prestigious companies and organisations, as a bolt-on subsidiary for health and safety specialist, Sypol.

Established in 2000, Stratford upon Avon based Infomatrix offers its clients a range of cost effective, web-based information management software solutions encompassing health and safety, compliance, audit and inspection, property and project management and performance tracking, in addition to bespoke solutions. The company’s growing, blue chip customer base – across a number of industry sectors – includes: ASDA, Sainsbury’s, HSBC, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Environment Agency, Capita, Laing O’Rourke, Carlsberg UK and Cancer Research.

The business’s proprietary software product, ‘Info Tracker’, allows customers a flexible approach to record, track and report key business data on a multi-user, multi-location basis via a secure, fully hosted and managed service. ‘Info Tracker’ also provides seamless integration with ‘Digital Pen and Paper’ technology, providing end-to-end data management solutions.

Infomatrix founders Alan Neill and Colin James will remain with the business and extend Sypol’s overall IT and software expertise across the combined customer base. They bring with them a highly credible, committed and experienced team with strong technical skills and customer relationships.

Commenting on the transaction, Phil Hinson, Director at Sovereign Capital said: “We are very pleased to be able to augment Sypol’s existing health, safety and environmental management services with Infomatrix’s well-regarded software solutions. The acquisition of Infomatrix represents a significant step forward in developing Sypol into a broader based provider of subscription-based governance, risk and compliance services.”

Sovereign is in active discussions with other governance, risk and compliance service providers to expand Sypol’s services further.
