Securitas opts from GreenRoad for driver safety

-

GreenRoad, the driver safety organisation, has announced that Securitas Mobile is deploying GreenRoad 360+ across its new fleet of Peugeot 207 cars. GreenRoad 360+ is a single online platform enabling companies like Securitas to better manage fleet assets, reduce accidents and gain greater fuel efficiency.

Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser, has teamed with GreenRoad to offer GreenRoad’s services to its brokerage clients in the UK and North America. Marsh introduced GreenRoad to Securitas to reduce its accident claims rate and reduce insurance premiums.

The Securitas Mobile team provides security solutions across the UK including keyholding, alarm response, mobile patrols, and locking/unlocking of premises. With the GreenRoad 360+ integrated fleet management and driver behaviour solution, Securitas now has an easy-to-use service that positively impacts driver behaviour and fuel economy, while providing the tools and analysis to enhance fleet management and client service.

“Our drivers work overnight shifts, so their welfare is our first priority. We recognised there was an opportunity to significantly reduce the number of accidents and Marsh suggested GreenRoad’s service as an easy, cost-effective way to reduce incidents,” said Aneen Brynard, Quality & Compliance Manager at Securitas Mobile. “Our drivers represent the public face of the Securitas brand and professional, safe driving is an important part of this image. The added benefits of an integrated fleet management tool, are reduced fuel consumption making us more environmentally friendly and the promise of lower premiums, which made GreenRoad’s offering a compelling proposition.”

In addition to analysis about driving manoeuvres and patterns, Securitas branch managers can now access detailed fleet management information with details of vehicle status and routes, geo-fences and landmarks, real time alerts, and excess idling.

GreenRoad has developed GreenRoad 360+, the first integrated solution that addresses mobile resource management (MRM), safety and driving behaviour. By combining these tools in a single platform, GreenRoad 360+ helps clients reduce fleet administration and costs. It uses GPS technology to give fleet managers visibility into their assets and provide an immediate online snapshot of critical vehicle information. It can help reduce overtime costs, boost revenue, cut fuel costs and improve customer satisfaction with enhanced scheduling and routing.

The GreenRoad 360+ driver behaviour service continuously rates driving skills to provide drivers with real-time feedback about those manoeuvres that most affect safe driving, fuel efficiency and emissions. An in-vehicle LED display enables drivers to identify and correct risky and inefficient driving manoeuvres as they happen. Fleet management and risk and safety professionals gain insight into driving behaviour and have the online tools and analysis they need to help drivers reduce risk and increase fuel economy while reducing operating costs. GreenRoad clients typically reduce accidents by an average of 50% and fuel consumption by up to 10%.
