Rockwool achieves British Safety Council’s five star award

-

Rockwool, the world’s leading manufacturer of non-combustible stone wool insulation, has been awarded a five star safety rating by the British Safety Council (BSC).

The award has been given following the successful 95.5% pass rate of the BSC’s Five Star Audit, an internationally recognised compliance system, enabling companies to benchmark the effectiveness of their safety management against best practice processes.

The audit involved a comprehensive assessment of Rockwool’s manufacturing plants in Bridgend looking at possible safety risks and analysis of safety processes and regulations.

This prestigious award will be presented to Rockwool at an award ceremony on 30th June 2011 on board HQS Wellington on The Thames.

We are delighted to receive this award and to retain our ISO 18000 certification.

“We take the safety and wellbeing of our employees extremely seriously and will make every effort to improve our high safety standards even further.”
