Leading UK HR conference and training provider, Symposium, have announced that Jason Gowlett, from Direct Line Group, will be chairing their annual Innovation in Recruitment Summit in London on September 24. The conference will take an in-depth look at the latest innovations in recruitment, with a focus on workforce planning, digital and social media strategies and the latest technologies.

Jason heads Direct Line Group’s award-winning HR operations team, leading the delivery of the company’s HR operational requirements including payroll, recruitment, learning, HR administration and systems, HR change and risk management.

He began his career at RBS Group in 1986 and held roles that included setting up and leading a lending centre and leading call centre operations, before moving into Human Resources just under a decade ago. He moved to Direct Line Group in 2011 where, as head of resourcing, he successfully led the separation of the recruitment function during Direct Line Group’s separation from RBS Group.

In 2013, Jason took up his current role as Head of HR Operations and, in 2014, his team won the OnRec award for Best Use of Mobile and Best Outdoor Campaign at the CIPD Recruitment Marketing Awards. This year, they were named Payroll Team of the Year at the Ceridian Customer Awards and won the RAD (Recruitment Advertising Design) award for Outdoor, Events and Experiential and the OnRec award for Creative Offline Marketing.
