The winners of the 2014 CIPD Recruitment Marketing Awards (RMAs), in association with People Management magazine, were announced at a black tie event at The Brewery in London.

Digital agency andsoMe won the overall ‘Grand Prix’ Award, as well as the prize for ‘Best Use of Social Media,’ for their campaign with Boots, which started last June with the challenging intention of recruiting 8,000 temporary Christmas assistants. The campaign focused on online and social media channels, using the hashtag #ReadyforXmas to draw attention to a number of vacancies in Boots stores across the country.

Peter Cheese, Chief Executive of the CIPD, said: “andSoMe’s campaign for Boots was a great example of how the diverse range of channels available to recruiters can work together to create an exciting and engaging campaign. That particular campaign focused on a seasonal recruitment need, but it’s important to remember that the job for many recruiters is not just about filling gaps now, but helping build sustainable and future-fit organisations. That’s why it was great to see amongst the other entries so many fresh and original ideas for reaching clear target audiences, delivering impactful and engaging campaigns built not just on great creative and content, but also on credible and authentic storytelling.”
