Digital HR publication HRZone has announced the winners of the 2024 Culture Pioneer Awards, recognising exceptional contributions to workplace culture.
Now in its fifth year, the awards highlight organisations and leaders who drive positive cultural change, showcasing innovation and commitment across various aspects of workplace wellbeing. The winners were revealed on 13 November at the Culture Pioneers Leadership Forum in London, featuring Disrupt London.
This year’s awards included five categories: Wellbeing, Inclusion, Learning, Brand, and the newly introduced Leadership category. Judges noted that the 2024 winners demonstrated creativity, dedication, and a tangible impact on organisational culture, fostering environments where employees can thrive.

Wellbeing Award
Winner: Pharmacist Support
Highly Commended: Lawline
Pharmacist Support was commended for its personalised and holistic approach to employee wellbeing. Culture Pioneers judge Evelina Dzimanaviciute, CEO of Elite Mind Academy, highlighted the organisation’s focus on listening to employees’ needs and role-modelling supportive behaviours by senior leaders.
Inclusion Award
Winner: Cadent Gas Ltd
Highly Commended: Ingeus UK
Cadent Gas Ltd was praised for addressing sensitive issues within the gas industry and creating a safe space for employees to share personal stories. Diane Lightfoot, CEO of Business Disability Forum and Culture Pioneers judge, described the initiative as “ground-breaking” and commended its significant impact.
Learning Award
Winner: Progeny
Highly Commended: Nine Feet Tall
Progeny’s innovative approach to learning and development stood out, with judges applauding the organisation’s resourcefulness and focus on the entire learning journey. Lior Locher, a Culture Pioneers judge and award-winning senior learning consultant, highlighted Progeny’s continuous effort to refine and adapt its approach.
Celebrating Brand and Leadership Innovation
Brand Award
Winner: Wurzak Hotel Group
Highly Commended: The People Experience Hub
Wurzak Hotel Group impressed judges with its in-depth and innovative efforts to bring company culture to life. Debra Corey, founder of DebCo HR, highlighted the group’s impactful results and commitment to moving beyond surface-level initiatives.
Leadership Award
Winner: Yasmine Alani, Media Zoo
Highly Commended: Cheryl Allen, Atos
Yasmine Alani was recognised for her transformative leadership at Media Zoo. Blaire Palmer, CEO of That People Thing and a Culture Pioneers judge, praised Alani’s honest and patient approach. Palmer noted her success in changing “hearts and minds” within a challenging environment.
