Relocation awards shortlists announced

-

The shortlists for the UK’s premier awards for companies and individuals involved in relocation, established by Re:locate, the magazine for HR professionals and relocation specialists, have just been unveiled. Entrants from across the relocation spectrum are celebrating their success in the first phase of the judging for the Re:locate Awards 2010/11.

Between them, the ten awards recognise individuals, teams, policy and innovation, with a choice of categories for HR and service providers. This year’s awards attracted a record number of entries, with three new categories – Green Achievement, Excellence in Employee & Family Support and Best International Destination Services Provider – drawing considerable interest.

The shortlists for the service provider categories (see below) reflect the many different types of organisation involved in relocation, including serviced apartment providers, removals experts and relocation management companies, all of which contribute a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Large companies like Pickfords Moving & Storage, Cartus and Interdean are side by side with smaller ones.

Judging of the remaining two categories, Best Relocation Strategy/Policy and Inspirational HR/Corporate Team of the Year, is now underway, with shortlists to be announced later this month.

“The Re:locate Awards are growing from year to year and really have become the ultimate accolade for everyone working in relocation, whether on the HR or the supplier side,” says Re:locate’s managing editor, Fiona Murchie. “I’d like to thank everyone who entered for making this a bumper year. With such stiff competition, I can honestly say that every shortlisted entrant is a winner.”

Winners will receive their awards at a gala dinner, to be held on Thursday 12 May at the Institute of Directors, in London. The evening will be hosted by Floella Benjamin, well-known broadcaster, actress, writer, member of the House of Lords, cultural ambassador for the London 2012 Olympic Games, and international children’s campaigner.
