Anvil receives Queen’s Award for Enterprise in innovation

-

Anvil Group, the travel risk assessment specialist, has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation following the development of its Employee Travel Monitoring System (ETMS).

The application has become an essential tool for internationally operating companies to ensure the safety of their business travellers, and was selected to win the esteemed award due to its outstanding innovation in its design and the benefit it provides to businesses which are reliant upon it.

ETMS helps mitigate risks associated with business travel by alerting users to situations that have a potential impact on employee safety, such as when a trip is booked to a destination known to be dangerous or a flight booked to an airline with a poor safety record. Additionally, all information about the traveller and the trip are stored, so in the event of a major incident, travellers can be identified, contacted and provided with support, or can be stopped from travelling to the affected location.

This accolade is testament to the overwhelming benefit of ETMS to our clients and the hard work put into its development by our highly skilled in-house IT team.”

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise recognises outstanding business achievements in the categories of innovation, international trade and sustainable development. Each entry is judged by a specialised panel that makes a recommendation to the Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee. Her Majesty The Queen then decides the winner, who each receive an official grant of appointment and an invitation to a reception at Buckingham Palace. Previous winners of the title include BT, Jaguar Land Rover and Siemens.
