Online Apprenticeship applications increase by 41% in a year

Online-recruitmentThe National Apprenticeship Service has released new data showing the continued popularity of Apprenticeships. Figures from November 2012 – January 2013 (Q2 2012/13) show there were over a quarter of a million Apprenticeship applications submitted online. This is an increase of 41% on the same period last year. Meanwhile, nearly 25,400 vacancies were advertised online in the three months.

Business and Admin Apprenticeships were the most popular job type advertised and applied for. However, it was Apprenticeships in Health Pharmacy Services, Animal Care and Design that attracted the largest volume of online applications for each vacancy available.

The release of the data times with the launch of a new, free app, AV Search which will enable users to search through the thousands of jobs advertised on the National Apprenticeship Service Apprenticeship Vacancies database on their mobile phones.
