UKG Appoints Beth Conway as Chief People Officer

UKG, a provider of HR, payroll and workforce management solutions, has announced the appointment of Beth Conway as Chief People Officer (CPO). She will join the company on 24 March and report to CEO Jennifer Morgan.

Conway will oversee key HR functions, including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, people operations and the company’s use of its own human capital management (HCM) technology. She will play a role in supporting UKG’s growth and global expansion efforts through operational improvements across HR.

“Beth’s experience leading global teams through transformative growth, coupled with her track record of successfully aligning human resources practices with business goals, makes her a phenomenal addition to the UKG leadership team,” said Jennifer Morgan.

“In addition, Beth’s passion for people will help UKG reach the next level by ensuring our human resource strategies and systems are agile, resilient and supportive to the needs of both our employees and our customers around the world.”

Extensive HR Leadership Experience

Conway brings more than 25 years of HR experience, focusing on creating people-centric organisational cultures. She has led HR technology initiatives, talent acquisition and retention strategies and has advised on mergers and acquisitions. She also has experience in environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives, as well as investor and shareholder relations.

Most recently, Conway served as Executive Vice President and Chief People & Places Officer at AI market leader Nuance Communications. She played a key role in guiding the company during its expansion before it was acquired by Microsoft for nearly $20 billion. At Nuance, she led a global HR team across 25 countries, managed a culture transformation, steered corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts and positioned the company as an employer of choice.

Before joining Nuance, Conway spent 19 years at CA Technologies, an enterprise management software firm. There, she developed and implemented a talent strategy designed to align the right people with the right opportunities. She also introduced a data-driven approach to decision-making through people analytics and led a cultural transformation focused on improving employee and customer experiences.

At UKG, Conway is expected to leverage her experience to further develop HR strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives.
