“We are thrilled to receive the award for best team and do so on behalf of the entire PFD champions network. More than 2500 champions have joined the campaign to date, all of whom are working hard to ensure that equality remains at the heart of the NHS and everything that we do.”

Our aim is to ensure that, as the largest employer in Europe, the NHS continues to put patients first, it is a place where people from all backgrounds will want to work.
Keeping equality and diversity in the spotlight

At a time of austerity and considerable change, we are working hard – and with considerable success – to keep the equality and diversity agenda relevant and firmly in the spotlight. The personal fair and diverse NHS campaign promotes equality and diversity, good practice and influences behaviour change at grass roots level in the NHS. The campaign has already helped to re-energise the equality and diversity agenda, making it more accessible by inviting staff to engage easily with what can often be perceived as a specialist area. We are active on social media platforms – LinkedIn and the highly accessible twitter. Staff and organisations alike are able to connect with us, share best practice and amplify our vision of a personal, fair and diverse NHS.
