The REC has been invited to chair the forthcoming ‘Employing and Vetting non-UK Nationals conference’ in London on Tuesday 9th March. ÂÂ
This one-day conference, organized by Symposium Events, will feature practical case studies, workshops and up-to-date legal advice on the Points Based immigration system and how to check migrant workers for immigration purposes. The conference will also include a presentation by the Shadow Minister for Immigration Damian Green who will outline the Conservative Party’s future plans. ÂÂ
Commenting ahead of the event, REC Director of External Relations Tom Hadley, says:  “The recruitment industry is seen as a major voice on labour market trends including immigration and the implications of an increasingly international workforce. Being invited to take part in high-profile events is a sign of this increasing recognition. The forthcoming conference will provide a great opportunity to exchange views with politicians as well as with professionals involved in recruiting, vetting and managing foreign nationals”.ÂÂ
The REC has secured a 25% discounted rate for members wishing to attend the event. To book a place please call 07231 5100, and quote coupon code REC7V, or visit http://www.symposium-events.com/vetting2010 and enter REC7V when prompted.
