Tom Hadley from the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, to chair conference

The REC has been invited to chair the forthcoming ‘Employing and Vetting non-UK Nationals conference’ in London on Tuesday 9th March.

This one-day conference, organized by Symposium Events, will feature practical case studies, workshops and up-to-date legal advice on the Points Based immigration system and how to check migrant workers for immigration purposes. The conference will also include a presentation by the Shadow Minister for Immigration Damian Green who will outline the Conservative Party’s future plans.

Commenting ahead of the event, REC Director of External Relations Tom Hadley, says:  “The recruitment industry is seen as a major voice on labour market trends including immigration and the implications of an increasingly international workforce.  Being invited to take part in high-profile events is a sign of this increasing recognition. The forthcoming conference will provide a great opportunity to exchange views with politicians as well as with professionals involved in recruiting, vetting and managing foreign nationals”.

The REC has secured a 25% discounted rate for members wishing to attend the event. To book a place please call 07231 5100, and quote coupon code REC7V, or visit http://www.symposium-events.com/vetting2010 and enter REC7V when prompted.
