The post-pandemic world promised a shift in gender roles. Many men became more involved at home during lockdowns, and younger generations of fathers voiced their expectations for more flexibility. Gender Pay Gap reporting resumed, and employers returned to setting ambitious gender representation targets.
However, as 2024 begins, cost-of-living pressures and a return to central offices have led many women to remain in hybrid or remote roles—often to manage care responsibilities. Some report feeling less visible at work and unsupported in progressing their careers.
Could this challenge gender equality efforts in the workplace?
Bright Horizons’ upcoming Modern Families Index, surveying over 3,000 working parents, offers valuable insights on this issue. Comparisons with previous years will also be shared.
In this webinar, we will discuss:
- The latest research on gendered attitudes to work-life balance and potential risks for employers
- What practical steps employers are taking to support gender inclusion and career progression
- As we approach International Women’s Day (8th March), how organisations can better support parents and carers of all genders
