Laura Benton is an HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) Researcher based at UCL Knowledge Lab, where she focuses on educational technology and participatory research methodologies. She is currently involved with Project CHAI, an initiative exploring innovative approaches to edtech and participatory design. Her research interests encompass the design and evaluation of digital resources for young children, with particular focus on creating meaningful educational experiences through user-centered design principles. Benton has engaged in community research activities, including soliciting feedback from parents and educators on video resources for children aged 4-8 and exploring existing materials that explain complex concepts to young learners. Beyond her core HCI research, she contributes thought leadership to professional publications including HRreview, where she has written on contemporary workplace issues such as flexible working and employee wellbeing.
