3663 launches winning lottery scheme

-

Employees take part in a ‘Big Prize Draw’ to support nominated charity Hospitality Action and be in with the chance to win tax-free cash.

Foodservice distributor 3663 has developed a winning lottery scheme to raise money for its long-standing nominated charity, Hospitality Action. A model that, if successful, could be rolled out across other businesses in the hospitality sector.

Launched in December last year, more than 4,000 employees have the chance to play the monthly ‘Big Prize Draw’ by contributing as little as £1 per week to try and win 50 per cent of all contributions – with the rest going directly to Hospitality Action. So far, winners have taken home at least £500 and the prize fund is set to grow beyond £700.

Monique Hubbard, Human Resources manager at 3663, says: “The Big Prize Draw is a fantastic self-funded scheme that the entire business can get behind to support Hospitality Action, and even take home a little extra too.

3663 has supported Hospitality Action as its nominated charity since 2002, and over the past nine years has helped to raise more than £800,000 to improve the lives of people within the hospitality and catering industry.

Heather Angus, HR and Development Director at 3663, says: “We recognise the value of working together with the local community and supporting worthy causes in the UK – that’s why we’ve been proud to support Hospitality Action for almost 10 years.”

Hospitality Action’s chief executive Penny Moore concludes: “We’re so happy that long-term supporter 3663 has launched this scheme to benefit the thousands of people from the hospitality and catering industry who need our help. The Big Prize Draw is turning out to be a real success and we hope that more businesses will be keen to adopt this attractive initiative in the future.”

Hospitality Action provides vital financial support and advice to those who have fallen on hard times including those who are affected by life-changing illnesses, poverty and domestic violence.
