Nine million lack important internet skills

More than 9 million Britons cannot properly use the internet.

According to a poll by BT/ICM, almost half of people have been tasked to looked for information or buy items online on behalf of someone who did not know how to so.

This is a shocking revelation considering that the internet has become a necessity in everyday working environments.

The use of the internet in workplaces has allowed for for easier communication between other organisations and employees. The internet has helped to increase efficiency within the workplace and allowed working from home to be more accessible.

The lack of employee knowledge on how to use the internet could significantly effect the way businesses operate. It is very important that organisations acknowledge this gap in learning and actively help to resolve this issue.

TV presenter Gabby Logan who is backing BTs Get IT together campaign said “ If you know someone who isn’t confident online why not show them how to get online for themselves?
