Originally from South Africa, Deborah relocated to the UK in early 2021. She is currently working on her second book and going on as many adventures as possible.

Questions for Deborah Include:

  • You’ve been known to be very outspoken about the need for a redefinition of “good performance”. Tell us more about what you mean
  • In your first book, Talent Liberation, you introduced a new performance management framework. Can you briefly talk us through the 4 elements to the DIRC model?
  • What differences or commonalities have you found between workplace challenges and workplace culture in South Africa versus the UK?
  • We saw a post by you on social media where you seem to be having a bit of a disagreement with your children’s school and you linked this to leadership and culture and unintended consequences. For folks who haven’t seen the video, what’s it about?
  • What are your predictions for future skills requirements in a world where AI and automation really seem to have taken off?
