Poll: Are you in favour of salary transparency?

Discussing wages with colleagues is still a taboo in many workplaces, according to research from the job community Glassdoor. This week’s poll asks whether salary transparency is a good idea.

In the run up to the general election in May, some Labour MPs have already brought up the issue of pay transparency, with the aim of closing the gender pay gap in the UK.

On the other hand, thinking of information about salaries and other rewards as a personal contract between an employer and their staff, should employees have the right to keep that information private?
