Mike Malaure 150x150 Mike Malaure, Director Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

Mike brings his extensive international general management and corporate development experience to the CMI, with a proven track record of developing people and growing businesses from small / medium businesses to international
listed groups.

Mike began his career in investment banking advising companies on mergers, acquisitions, business sales and IPOs.
After ten years, Mike transitioned to the client side with international general management roles within leading technology companies including Metastorm (now part of OpenText), Mosaix (now Avaya) and Sybase (now SAP). After a further ten years, Mike moved into the professional services sector with international executive roles with Orgment and International SOS.

Mike has served as Non-Executive Director for a number of technology companies. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Securities & Investment Institute (FCSI), Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) and Chartered Management Institute (FCMI). Mike holds an MBA and MA in International Marketing from Brunel University. Also CF from Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Simon has worked in HR for nearly 20 years, across many sectors, in large corporates and smaller SME’s, most notably for Lloyds Banking Group, PWC, The Number UK (118118), and most recently, Ludlow Street Healthcare where he was Head of HR and Training.Simon joined AXA four years ago, initially joining their Wealth Management business helping it drive through considerable organisational change where raising capability was a key priority. For the last year and a half he has been leading the AXA UK leadership and development agenda. Key to this is linking in with AXA globally as the company looks to transform itself to meet its longer term vision and goals.Simon also leads on performance management and plays a leading role looking at the employee side of the digital agenda within AXA, particularly how to “take HR mobile”.

Following a successful corporate career, Jane spent a number of years as Managing Director of a specialist recruitment company, which she co-founded. Having realised that if someone could help companies to become a great place to work, there wouldn’t be such a crisis over ‘the talent war’. In September 2001, she formed learnpurple which, in line with expansion, rebranded as Purple Cubed, early in 2013.Jane is a published, best-selling author having written ‘Purple your People: the secrets to inspired, happy, more
profitable people’ (Crimson) in 2001, following up with ‘It’s Never OK to Kiss The Interviewer – and other secrets to surviving, thriving and high-fiving at work’ (LID) in 2013. In 2014 she was chosen from over 1600 authors to contribute to ’20/20 – 20 great lists by 20 outstanding business thinkers’. Jane’s writing is practical and common sense with
stories and examples that clearly show how various tools and techniques can be applied to achieve results.In addition to running Purple Cubed, Jane is a non-executive director and has been instrumental in the success of several high profile employment projects. Steven Phillips Steven Phillipss, Director, Ideas Unlimited

Steven’s career to date has included working on entrepreneurship for the UK government and international development with the UN before focusing on corporate leadership, building on his own experience as a leadership team member.

As a director of Ideas Unlimited for 14 years, Steven’s clients have included John Lewis, Tesco, Camelot, RBS, Sky, PepisCo, Unilever, ATS-Euromaster, BT, EY, NHS, RWE-npower, Standard Life and Wolff-Olins. This work centres on Steven advising and partnering with these major organisations at the most senior level, to develop innovative approaches to leadership and organisational development challenges – particularly through times of tough and turbulent change and renewal.

In addition, Steven is committed to continuously developing his own knowledge around the psychology of work and leadership, and has recently completed the Tavistock Institute’s prestigious one-year programme for those working with Dynamics at Board Level.
