Managing Hybrid Working for HR Professionals – 23rd April 2024

£299.00 ex VAT

Hybrid working is the new normal, however Companies are still struggling in finding the right blend!

With more and more workers wanting flexibility from their employers, the reality is that there’s no going back to the nine to five in the way we once knew.

A staggering 82% of employers plan to continue with remote working.

Recent research showed that the majority of employees want their organisation to offer a mix of working styles – enabling them to work both remotely and in the office.

It’s not a new concept, but the pandemic changed its value from a nice-to-have, to a must-have, forcing employers to rethink how their workplace will operate, or risk losing staff in the great resignation.

In the UK, the number of open jobs surpassed one million for the first time ever in August 2021 and we are still managing the effects.

So what do you really need to know about hybrid working?

Join our course to find out more about hybrid working, how to successfully navigate the challenges from an HR perspective, and how you can move your organisation to a tailored and successful hybrid working model in 2024 and beyond.

Best practice and Q&A session

Franco Trapanese (FCIPD)Your Trainer: Franco Trapanese (FCIPD)

Franco is a highly experienced leader in the HR profession, with over 20 years’ experience in multiple private sector industries, spanning across HR operations, strategy and fundamentally all areas of the employee life cycle, both in the UK and Globally. He is also a trusted consultant to many public sector clients nationwide.

Franco’s passion is finding operational solutions around rigorous legislations, oh and he loves Business Transformation/Re-structuring and Employee Relations…….. A strange liking you may say. He puts effort into supporting HR directors and managers, to ensure they walk away feeling like they’re left with a variety of solutions to ponder over.

His key achievements have been driving employee engagement; maximising communication pathways, along with improved efficiency analysis such as product/service and process reviews. Last year he was delighted to become accredited as a Life Coach through the Transformation Academy, further developing his interest in nurturing and helping others.

Franco decided in 2022 to expand his expertise by running his own HR Consultancy; NESE HR, helping businesses manage HR in a fast and ever-changing economy, given his work with the following industries: financial services, e-commerce, charity, media, care homes, private education, travel, manufacturing, retail, business consultancy, beauty, fitness, trade, and facilities management to name a few. Since then, he has worked with a public sector client to support on some complex project work.

His main USP is the ability to be commercial and pragmatic, whilst working within the framework of employment law! No such thing as saying NO! Within the values of NESE HR, this word doesn’t exist.

Are there Any Pre-course Requirements?

As preparation for the workshop, you will complete a short self-assessment questionnaire

You will read some corresponding information, and complete a few questions to capture your initial reflections.

This will ensure you maximise the potential learning available during the live session.

Will the Trainee Receive any Post Course Assets?

Yes.  A fact sheet will be made available with a bibliography of books, links, talks, or webinars related to the topic.

Do I have to have a grounding knowledge in hybrid working to attend?

No, the pre-reading includes a grounding knowledge, so that everyone has a consistent basic knowledge and understanding. This is so we can focus on how to make a difference to your organisation – regardless of size or sector.

Is this training sector specific? as it includes Equality Impact Assessments (EIA’s)?

No, although EIAs are mandatory for Public Sector orgs, or commercial orgs providing a public service, they are an example of best practice and should be used to demonstrate intentions towards an inclusive culture.

About our Courses

About our Courses

How our elearning courses work

Specialist online video production methods ensure extremely fast, high-quality streaming. A combination of the presenter, animations and quiz-style questions keeps learners interested and stimulated.

Our content and Learning Management System (LMS) are constructed to provide a set of multiple-choice questions after each module.   These help embed the learning in trainees’ memories and allow managers to check the training has been completed and understood.

When a candidate successfully completes a course, they will automatically receive a system-generated certificate.

Training managers can also use our course management portal to keep records and track learner progress.

Trainee Experience

A powerful combination of embedded presenters, live video footage and animated graphics immediately grabs learner interest and holds attention.

Face-to-face eye contact builds trust, triggers emotion and delivers a memorable tone and style, while communicating the essence of the learning content.

The overall result is increased learner engagement and the creation of a lasting, positive impression.

Your Learning Management System

The customer dashboard is where the candidates go to do the training. Learning manager can also use the dashboard to manage any number of candidates. It’s mobile-responsive and can deliver extensive reports. If needed, it will work side-by-side with an existing LMS, via an open API.

Checking on Learning

The candidate-facing areas are constructed so that a set of multiple-choice questions are introduced after each module. Following successful completion of a course, candidates will receive a system-generated certificate.

The question sections of our courses use a variety of techniques.

For example, in the Fire Safety courses, candidates are presented with certain types of fire and have to select the image of the appropriate extinguisher.

We also make use of various exam canvasses to suit all exam types and random question banks. We can feature a wide variety of online questions, including, multiple-choice, drag and drop, surveys, quizzes, answers in free-text exams and assignments.

Recommended System Requirements

Yes.  Our courses are built with responsive designs, so they can adapt to multiple device sizes, whether it’s desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

This is particularly useful for learners who are ‘on the go’, or who work in environments where desktop computers are not available.

A recent forecast stated that around 80 per cent of the world’s population (that’s over 6 billion people) are now smartphone users. So it’s no surprise to discover that mobile phones are widely used in training – a trend that is certain to grow significantly in the future.

Why are learners more motivated and engaged in mobile learning courses?

Well, for a start, mobile learning eliminates the need for learning to happen at a particular time and place, or on a specific device.

Mobile learning seamlessly integrates into peoples’ daily routines, making it easier for them to stay on track with the courses, resulting in increased course completion and knowledge retention.

Learners can also use mobile courses to recall information while at work, so they can perform their job better. For example, when someone is about to perform a task, or check a piece of machinery, or give a product sales pitch, they can quickly check their mobile phone and run a short course to help them brush up on the key facts.
