This session will provide an opportunity to explore the benefits of a Neurodiverse organisation

The practical application of legal requirements stemming from the Equality Act 2010 are combined with real world examples of reasonable adjustments.

The conditions are described through a lived experience perspective and the benefits of alterative thinking styles are explored.

There will be opportunities to discuss your own experiences and challenges around supporting neurodiversity at work.

Who Is the Course For?

HR professionals and business partners who want to explore the benefits of a Neurodiverse workforce, alongside developing an understanding of the legalities and responsibilities.

 
Why Take the Neurodiversity for HR Professionals: Attracting and retaining Neurodivergent employees?

Many Neurodivergent people report difficulties in finding employment and working to their potential.

Due to increased understanding, rates of diagnosis are increasing amongst young people and adults. Research suggests between 1 in 10 to 1 in 20 people are affected by a condition such as Dyslexia, and 1 in 57 are Autistic.

Understanding the benefits of a neurodiverse workplace will help employers better attract and retain highly effective employees.

What is the Format?

Remote live learning.  The course takes place live at a specific time, with booked attendees participating remotely.  The course is not pre-recorded and cannot be watched ‘on demand’ at a later date.  Participation is essential!

Helen EatonHelen Eaton                                                       

Helen is an engaging and enthusiastic Neurodiversity specialist with 20 years experience of designing and delivering leadership and communication skills training across IT, defense, retail and public sector organisations.

Helen’s work very much celebrates the strengths of Neurodiversity, and the power and creativity of neurodivergent minds. Her Neurodiversity in the Workplace training sessions have been well received as she combines an understanding of neurodiverse teams and organisations with lived experience and relevant real-life stories.

She has extensive experience of supporting children, teens and adults with neurodevelopmental differences, giving her a solid understanding of the lifelong day to day impact of these conditions.

Alongside this, she has published two Autism books, spoken at a National Autistic Society conference, and been a guest speaker on BBC Radio 4’s Word of Mouth show and Anna Kennedy OBE’s Women’s Radio Station show.
