REC launches group for HR sector

-

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has announced its launch of a new group aimed at the legal and HR sectors.

Launching the REC Legal and HR at a roundtable event held at the Law Society, recruiters in these industries will now have access to bespoke legal advice, specialist lobbying and PR campaigns.

Scott Pendry, policy advisor to REC Legal and HR, said recruitment into the HR industry has fundamentally recovered from the recession but that does not mean the sector is in the clear.

The roundtable, which was attended by experts including representatives from the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), examined issues such as the Equality Bill.

Nicola Walker, senior policy advisor from the CBI’s Employment Policy Directorate, said: “The key to success will be ensuring employers understand their new responsibilities and have the confidence to tackle diversity issues in the workplace.”

The REC represents the UK’s recruitment industry and has more than 8,000 corporate members.
