Step and GTI Media announce new work experience partnership

-

With work experience and employability high on the agendas of government and universities, we are pleased to announce a new partnership between GTI Media and Step to promote the positive benefits of work experience to undergraduates, to highlight especially the opportunities available in SMEs and to raise the profile and awareness of good work experience with universities, employers and government agencies.

GTI Media is Europe’s largest graduate careers media group and is mainly known for its TARGETjobs brand in the UK. Step has been in the business of providing high quality work experience placements and internships for students and graduates for more than 13 years. This exciting new partnership therefore brings two organisations together which are leaders in their field to increase the availability of work experience opportunities and to develop a greater awareness of the practical benefits amongst the graduate recruitment community.

As well as jointly promoting work experience opportunities, the partnership between GTI Media and Step will publish original research around this important issue, collaborate on events and conferences and work together on press statements and releases.

Philip Donnelly, Director of Step, says:

“As the UK’s leading placement programme for students and recent graduates, we are thrilled to be teaming up with GTI Media/TARGETjobs, the UK’s leading provider of graduate jobs and careers advice. GTI Media and Step have a shared vision to create, develop and support opportunities for students and graduates throughout the UK. Together we will create the kind of positive and constructive opportunities for acquiring workplace skills and employment at a time when they are needed most.”

Chris Phillips, Publishing Director of GTI Media, says:

“We share Step’s vision to increase the skills and employability of graduates through well-constructed and supported work experience. We know that our database of 750,000 students and graduates will be delighted to learn that we will be working together with Step to create more placements and internships.”
