MITIE adds employee screening service to security management portfolio

-

MITIE, the strategic outsourcing and energy services company, has today announced the launch of PeopleCert, a new employee screening service comprising a range of background checks for pre-employment and on-going screening.

The launch of this new offering is in line with MITIE’s total security management business’ holistic, risk based-approach to security and demonstrates another area in which MITIE continues to think and act innovatively.

Bob Forsyth, Managing Director for MITIE’s total security management business, commented:
“We continue to build on our total security management ethos and it made sense for us to use the expertise we have in employee screening to offer screening checks that are vital for total business protection. We have been screening our officers for 25 years and with 12,500 officers employed at any one time we know how it should be done.”

“Our people are our greatest asset and we are confident in their backgrounds and right to work in the UK. In cases where people can’t be certain of the people who work for them, their business and reputation could be at risk.”

PeopleCert offers a full range of background checks with a flexible approach. Using the web-based PASS software, the processes followed are completely automated allowing for an audit trail and the ability for clients to track progress at any time.

The employee screening team is unique in that it sits within MiTec, MITIE’s recently launched technology centre, which is a totally secure data environment – giving added peace of mind to clients. The team screens to BS 7858 and have all completed a successful Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
