Chemistry Group selected as a European Business of the Year

-

HR consultancy The Chemistry Group has been selected to represent the UK in the European Business Awards, sponsored by HSBC. The accolade shows that Chemistry is one of Europe’s brightest and most innovative companies, as well as one that is showing exceptional growth and financial return.

Just 24 other UK companies have been chosen as a country representative. Each of the 25 UK country representatives will now compete for a coveted Ruban d’Honneur in the next round of the awards and the final category award winners will be unveiled in Barcelona on 22nd November.

The European Business Awards has identified some of Europe’s brightest businesses based on their ability to demonstrate the three core principles at the heart of the Awards programme. The panel of judges were looking for organisations to represent the UK which exhibited innovation, business excellence and sustainability.

Francesca Cockram, Chemistry’s Marketing Goddess, said: “I can’t tell you how thrilled we are to receive this honour. The European Business Awards is recognised as the showcase for Europe’s most dynamic companies; to know that we are leading our field and our country is incredible.

“In the UK’s biggest recession in 80 years, Chemistry people achieved record financial performance. Yet, our people come first, then customers, then cash. We have 12 people here and everyone lives and breathes our values of being passionate, brave and human, so that we give our people and our clients’ people the opportunity to be brilliant at work.”

John Casey, HSBC Head of Commercial Banking Europe, commented: “The European Business Awards provide a perfect opportunity to recognise the best of European business and their successes over the past twelve months.

These companies have displayed an impressive ability to thrive despite challenging economic conditions, pursuing growth and creating prosperity. Their recognition is highly deserved, and through the European Business Awards their success – and the stories behind that – can be shared across the wider business community. We look forward to celebrating alongside these inspirational businesses and wish them every success at the next stage of judging”.

“Chemistry and the other UK representatives will provide tough competition for the other quality businesses representing their own nations this year, and we wish them every success at the next stage.”
