Cheshire factory worker killed in industrial accident

The body of Alan Catterall was discovered early morning last week Thursday when workers arrived at the Pyranha Mouldings, a canoe making factory in Runcorn, Cheshire.

The victim, a 51-year-old man named locally as Alan, is thought to have got stuck whilst cleaning out the giant oven at the factory on the Whitehouse Industrial Estate in Preston Brook.

The firm said it was ‘shocked and saddened at the tragic loss’ of Mr Catterall.

One factory source said: “People are really shaken up by it because it is so sad.
