Workplace launches innovative solution enabling retailers to schedule smarter

-

Workplace, the leader in cloud-based workforce management solutions, is launching an innovative, new ‘Assisted Scheduling’ product to coincide with the company’s presence at NRF’s Big Show 2013 (stand #2738) in New York City this month.

Assisted Scheduling provides retail managers with additional information on the drivers which impact their store performance including: weather, footfall, sales forecasts and customer satisfaction data, enabling them to create more effective schedules. This valuable insight means retailers can schedule the right staff to be in the right place at the right time, vital for maintaining consistently high levels of customer service which drives customer loyalty and increases basket size as a result.

The intuitive cloud-based software also enables managers to edit the schedules they have generated to see the effect that altering staff levels at different times has on schedule effectiveness. The Schedule Quality Rating (SQR), an easy to understand 5-star schedule rating system, enables retailers to measure the quality of the schedules they have created quickly and easily.

Barney Quinn, CEO of Workplace, comments: “Assisted Scheduling is a smart and valuable product which compliments our existing suite of cloud-based workforce management software applications. It enables retailers to improve their existing schedules by applying select business drivers, without the need for time-consuming analysis work. It’s a unique proposition which will help retailers to improve service, control costs and maximise sales, whilst also looking after the needs of staff, essential for keeping them motivated and selling. We will be providing retailers with the opportunity to explore the solution with demonstrations on the Workplace stand throughout NRF’s Big Show 2013 convention in New York.”
