Totaljobs.com account manager wins Women in Sales Award

-

Totaljobs.com Account Manager Philippa Myall-Chance was named an award winner at the Women in Sales Award, held last night at the Savoy Hotel in London. Birmingham-based Philippa won the ‘Advertising Sales’ category, beating off competition from businesses such as Google and ITV, both in the UK and abroad.

The Women in Sales Award, it’s its first ever year, celebrates the most exemplary women in sales across Europe. This year’s judging panel consisted of Susan Perry-Whitehead, Direct Sales Channel Director at DHL International and Karen Lloyd, Senior Training Consultant at BSkyB, as well as other leading sales experts from Germany, Amsterdam and Italy.

The award was given to Philippa in recognition of her exceptional sales ability, alongside strong people management, training and planning skills. Her hard work and motivation contributed to a strong sales performance, including financial year-on-year improvement.

Philippa Myall-Chance said of her win: “I am so thrilled to have been named as this year’s Advertising Sales winner. It’s wonderful to receive recognition for all the hard work I’ve put in over the last year. Sales are a key driver for any organisation’s financial success, so it’s fantastic to be a part of an award which acknowledges the importance of sales in business. Not just that, but it’s great to receive an award which recognises the role of women in an industry traditionally dominated by men. Through winning this award, I hope I can inspire other women to enter and excel in the field.”

Afi Ofori, Managing Director of Zars Media who developed the award said: “Employers taking the time to submit a nomination on behalf of their employees demonstrates that they care about their staff’s development and careers. Being nominated, a finalist or of course winning, has a positive impact on confidence, encouraging winners to become role models to other women in their company, and ambassadors for their organisations. Philippa’s award win also demonstrates that totaljobs.com is a company which places a positive focus on diversity and inclusion.”
