Sodexo innovates its talent management

-

Today sees the way Sodexo recruits change with the implementation of a bespoke talent management system which is one of the most sophisticated used in the food service and FM industry.

Sodexo, one of the UK’s leading providers of on-site service solutions, has taken online talent management to a new level with help from Tribepad, an award winning next generation recruitment platform. Through the use of the latest in cutting edge technology, Sodexo’s new Careers Centre will enable the company to recruit the best talent from within and externally. Candidates too will have an enhanced experience with the ability to manage their profile on the system as well as taking part in forums and discussions in the community section of the system.

The new system will allow Sodexo to leverage social media by helping to attract, engage and hire the right talent. It will enable Sodexo to build real talent communities by allowing candidates to apply for a role by registering on the Sodexo Careers Centre. They are then able to build their online profile within the system and link their social media accounts such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter as well as the ability to enhance their profile with additional documents, images and videos.

Each potential candidate can not only access the job details for which they are applying, the system automatically flags to them other potential roles which may be of interest to them. For each application the candidate is able to track where they are in the process and will alert them to any action required.

Melanie Hayes, head of talent at Sodexo says: “The launch of the Sodexo Careers Centre is really putting us ahead of our competitors when seeking to recruit the best talent. The new centre takes our talent management to a new level, helping us to engage with candidates from the outset which helps us to reinforce Sodexo as the employer of choice for the majority and ensuring they are fully equipped with the right information to help them through the application process.

“It is not just potential employees the system benefits, it will also revolutionise how anyone within Sodexo recruits too, simplifying the process with the latest technology which matches candidates registered on the system. In short the new Sodexo Careers Centre will enable us to build real talent communities which will support engagement, aid internal hiring and ultimately enable us to hire the best candidates.”

The new Careers Centre uses social media channels to push new vacancies out to a wide audience and with Tribepad hosting the system, jobs can be marked up and pushed out and then easily found through the various search engines. The high visibility which Tribepad offers will drive traffic through to the new system allowing Sodexo to build up a bank of the best talent in the industry.

Gone are the days of candidates posting their CV online and hoping for the best. Sodexo is stepping forward and taking the lead in changing the way it recruits through the creation of a true talent pool community where the best candidates are truly engaged with Sodexo and the opportunities it can offer.
