SkillSoft and Pearson partner to offer books

SkillSoft, a leading provider of e-learning, today announced a new agreement with Pearson Technology Group (PTG), a division of Pearson PLC, publisher of Cisco Press, to deliver selected Cisco Press titles to Books24x7 customers, within the ITPro collection.

The agreement provides SkillSoft clients additional resources for training and development and IT certification, and adds a third type of CiscoÃ’ authorised self-study content to SkillSoft’s overall solution, which already includes Cisco-related e-learning and Live Learning courses.

“Cisco is dedicated to collaborating with educational leaders such as SkillSoft and Pearson to support the development of technical talent so that our customers and partners have the best possible experience with Cisco technology,” said Erik Ullanderson, manager of global certifications, Learning@Cisco. “We’re confident that as a result of these new training options, Cisco certifications will continue to be highly regarded and relevant to employers across the globe.”

SkillSoft’s Books24x7 offers one of the largest on-demand e-reference services, with a collection of over 25,000 professional digital book titles that allows users to quickly search, browse, read, organise, recommend and share information. ITPro is the Books24x7 flagship collection, providing technology professionals access to over 9,000 IT resources. Select Cisco Press books now available live in ITPRo include popular books such as, Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices, Part 1, Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security and Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks.
