NHS National Services Scotland staff take part in first online Equality and Diversity training

-

NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) is the first NHS Scotland Health Board to introduce online equality and diversity training for staff. NSS have worked with training provider, Marshall ACM to enable all 3,600 staff to learn about the six strands of equality and diversity.

Marshall ACM has developed the one hour training course as part of their e-learning training service, which they deliver to over 140 organisations across the UK and Republic of Ireland. The equality and diversity training is already in place in NHS Boards across England and Wales.

Peter MacIntyre, Equality and Diversity Co-ordinator for NHS National Services Scotland, says, “The training developed for us by Marshall ACM will help our staff understand more fully, the dimensions of equality and diversity, and forms part of personal development for staff through the Knowledge and Skills Framework (KSF). The training also means that NSS complies with our legal requirements in terms of equality and diversity legislation. It is a big step forward in putting equality and diversity at the forefront of our everyday work practices”.
