National Skills Academy for financial services launches new Accreditation awards

-

The Skills Academy is introducing new Accreditation ”Best of the Best” awards. These awards will be awarded each year to the outstanding organisation or individual who has an active accreditation in each established category of Accreditation that the Skills Academy delivers – Provision, Programme and Trainer. For the first round of awards the new Accreditation of Service Excellence will not be included.

The first round of awards will take place at the beginning of 2015, announcing the winners from those awarded accreditation during 2014. All organisations accredited for Provision, Programme or Trainer will be automatically entered as part of the overall accreditation cost.

John Carter, who coordinates the Skills Academy’s accreditation activities, said “The purpose of our accreditation programme is to recognise and highlight high-quality training and development activity within the sector. Since we launched the programme it has gone from strength to strength and, as a result, we have widened the scope of what we accredit.  In addition to training and development provision we also accredit programmes and training delivery. It has proved very popular. Now we want to take the next step and highlight the ‘Best of the Best’.”
