Leading midlands recruiter rebrands following acquisition

-

Award-winning midlands recruiter, Encore Personnel, today announces that it has been rebranded as Gi Group, following the acquisition of the business by the global HR and recruitment leader in Q4 of 2022.

Established in 2001 and growing to employ more than 200 people, operating through 11 branches and 22 managed services sites across the region, Encore had long been on the radar of Gi Group Holding for its expertise, customer approval ratings and stand-out company ethos and culture.

Following the acquisition of the business, the Encore team is now embedded within Gi Group’s UK operations and already contributing to increased growth. As part of the transition, the business and its branch locations, stretching from Warrington to Northampton, will now be fully rebranded as Gi Group.

Paulo Canoa, Country Manager Gi Group UK, said:

“The coming together of Encore and Gi Group is a time for celebration. This union means we have immediately increased our ability to serve both our own—and Encore’s long-standing customers—in the industrial, driving, and manufacturing sectors with more expertise and insight than ever before, and now with our much larger team of skilled consultants.

“With the blending of the two teams, we will bring to the table important opportunities for our customers to achieve synergies on a much larger scale while we deliver bespoke recruitment and HR solutions against a backdrop of increasingly complex UK labour market conditions.

“For more than two decades, the Encore brand has been a benchmark for both successful candidate journeys and an extremely high-standard recruitment practice for clients. We acknowledge its reputation and standing with great respect. We know that as a united team, our people are poised to achieve industry-leading results together and we’re delighted to be taking this next step as a stronger, bolder, and brighter team.”

All Encore employees will now be able to enjoy Gi Group’s industry-leading benefits package, which includes a comprehensive Learning & Development offering; enhanced maternity, paternity, and adoption pay; an electric vehicle scheme; financial coaching; a cycle to work scheme; paid HRT and menopause flex; the opportunity to learn a new language; and robust diversity and inclusion support through our ‘Let’s Talk’ sessions and regular D&I webinars.

Gi Group is one of the UK’s leading HR solutions and recruitment companies. It operates more than 26 branches and 60 sites and employs 650 people nationally.
