Chadwick Nott opens legal division

-

Chadwick Nott has appointed Peter Ferguson as a Consultant to lead its new legal interim division in the South West. Peter has a number of years experience in the legal locum and temporary contracts market. He joins from Michael Page.

Peter will service the growing needs of Chadwick Nott’s law firm, industry & commerce and public sector clients for locum and temporary solicitors. This follows on from the launch of an Interim Division in London earlier in the summer with the appointment of Charlie Compton.

Embracing this new way of working enables legal firms to adjust more easily and quickly to workload and market fluctuations, as well as take advantage of the specialised skills that temporary staff can provide. Clients are also realising the benefits of maintaining staffing flexibility and the opportunity to evaluate a worker without commitment.

Peter commented,

“I have always known Chadwick Nott for its impeccable reputation and its exemplary level of service. As such the opportunity to establish the interim/locum offering for such a well-known and well-respected brand was far too tempting to pass up.

While the economy is still in a state of flux there has been a clear trend towards greater flexibility and a focus on project and short-term recruitment and, although the heady days pre-credit crunch are unlikely to return quickly, it is clear that there is a need to provide an interim/locum service to our clients.”

Chadwick Nott Director, Charles Elderton, commented,

“Peter is a perfect fit for our business. He will be warmly welcomed by our strong and loyal client base in the South West who have been crying out for us to be able to supply them with a flexible workforce, as and when needed We are delighted he has decided to join us”
