Google tops employer poll

-

Internet giant Google has retained its position at the top of a poll to find the world's most attractive employers, beating competition from financial sector giants.

Following a survey of 130,000 business and engineering job seekers carried out by employer branding company Universum, Google topped the global attraction list for the second year in a row.

"Multinational corporations are increasingly aware of the current and future challenges of a shrinking workforce," said Universum chief Michal Kalinowski. "Their talent pipeline requires a talent attraction and employer branding strategy."

Closely behind Google in the business index were the "big four" financial services firms – KPMG, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte – while Microsoft, IBM and Sony ran it close in the engineering chart.
