A series of predictions for the recruitment industry have been set out by an expert from the sector.

Zain Wadee, director at hyphen, forecast the "convergence" of the strategies for the hiring of contingent workers and permanent staff members.

In his view, this will lead to greater transparency in the recruitment "landscape".

Mr Wadee went on to say that there may be renewed focus on talent acquisition, adding: "We expect to see continued growth in RPO [recruitment process outsourcing] as organisations seek to improve cost and quality of hire."

He suggested international RPO deals may be in line to increase, with firms aiming to leverage rising mobility.

A recent statement by hyphen suggested RPO has been central in the area of compliance in outsourcing employees, while internal mobility is becoming more popular.

Firms keen to look at their recruitment needs may wish to attend the Graduate Recruitment and Development Forum 2011, which takes place in London on February 1st.
