Sodexo honoured by the Ministry of Defence

-

CodexoSodexo, the world’s largest services company, has just received a silver award from the Ministry of Defence for its commitment and support to military reservists.

The silver award is part of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme which was launched in July 2014, to recognise employers for their support and commitment to the UK armed forces community.

The award acknowledges Sodexo Defence for actively communicating and upholding a positive stance to colleagues via its HR policies and procedures and also supporting reservist employees by offering them the flexibility needed to fulfil their annual training and mobilisation commitments.

Rachel James, human resources director for Sodexo Defence, said:

“We are committed to supporting every one of our colleagues who is a reservist or who is interested in becoming a reservist and this is a key element of our commitment to the armed forces corporate covenant; our pledge to the MOD to support regular and reserve forces, veterans and their families. Reservists are our colleagues who give up their time to train and serve alongside the regular armed forces and Sodexo Defence is ideally placed to lead on Sodexo’s support to this element of our workforce – I am delighted that our commitment to our reservists has been recognised with a silver award, especially so soon after the launch of the scheme.”
