Government Response to Disability Related Harassment Inquiry

-

The Equality and Human Rights Commission welcomes the response from the Government to our Hidden in Plain Sight Report. We are pleased that the Government has agreed with the majority of our recommendations.

We are currently reviewing its detailed response, alongside the responses of nearly 50 other national organisations and bodies. We will be reporting on them in our Manifesto for Change report which will come out this autumn.

Mike Smith, Commissioner for the Equality and Human Rights Commission said: “We have spent a lot of time during the past year working to get others to take ownership for addressing the difficult issues and challenges raised in our Inquiry. What is most important is that we have already started the process of change.”
